Devon Richter is a portrait photographer from North Carolina, where he is currently studying fine art photography at Appalachian State University. His work explores disability, gender identity, queerness, and injustices faced by minority groups. He is motivated by politics and strives to counteract the hate and violence perpetuated by those in power. His subject matter is often in-your-face and occasionally graphic, making the important details hard to ignore. He primarily uses digital photography, but he loves learning analog processes and spending time in the darkroom.

When he’s not taking photos of himself covered in blood, Devon can be found reading, writing, playing video games, or hiking.
